In April, Andy’s e-mail from South Korea was received by us, he needed to find a koi filter brush and said that the product ordered elsewhere had a large tolerance, which lead to the significantly shorter in length, causing customer complaints. The customer required them to replace the non-conforming product within 25 days, otherwise they would be fined RMB200 per day. He asked if AOQUN could provide a solution.
Our sales engineer, Lucy, called Andy and asked Andy about the previous order, the koi filter brush’s brush diameter *brush length* overall length, and the length of the filter tank. Andy provided the size of the brushes and pond but didn’t know their tolerances. Andy is very confused. Does the tolerance matter? Lucy tells Andy that our overall length is 1220mm±15mm. If the length tolerance of the pond is only allowed to be -5mm, +25mm, the above length will be obviously short after installation. So, the brush and pond the tolerances must match. Andy agreed with our profession analysis. Considering that the previous pond has been done, we adjusted the brush tolerances according to the customer’s actual situation and sent the samples within 2 days.
After 3 days, the customer received a sample of the koi filter brush, installed it in the pond, and the feedback length was suitable. At the same time, the customer gave 20,000pcs orders. After 1 month, Andy called AOQUN to say that the project was qualified and did not need to be fined. Then Andy placed 200,000pcs annual orders.
